July 27th: IWSGPit Twitter Pitch Party:
This is the first ever Twitter Pitch Party by Insecure Writers Support Group. Rules are very similar to that of all of the other twitter pitch parties. All authors are encouraged to participate.
Create a Twitter-length pitch for your completed and polished manuscript and leave room for genre, age, and the hashtag. On July 27, Tweet your pitch. If your pitch receives a favorite/heart from a publisher/agent check their submission guidelines and send your requested query
August 2nd – 6th: Pitch Wars
Pitch Wars is a contest where published/agented authors, editors, or industry interns choose one writer each, read their entire manuscript, and offer suggestions to shine it up for agents
Writers send applications (query and first chapter of manuscript) to four mentors who best fit their work. The mentors then read all their applications and choose the one writer they want to mentor for the next two months.
