Julie Arnold’s newest romantic suspense, Nothing Ventured is available now on Amazon! I’m excited to have here here on my blog today to answer a few questions.
Tell me about yourself!
My passions in life are faith, family, happily-ever-afters, and addictive books I can’t set down. I also speak French and love to run.
What genre do you write in, and why?
Romantic suspense, because it’s the best of both worlds. I love capturing the spark between two people, then growing their relationship as they overcome obstacles together. Toss in a page-turning suspense, and I’m hooked!
If you could write in any other genre, what would you write, and why?
I’ve thought of trying romantic comedy, or mystery. But romance is always the common denominator, as well as an inspirational message.
I’m also a huge sucker for anything romance. (Those of you who regularly read my blog know lol)
What is your favorite aspect of this new story you’re releasing and why? (Character, or plot, or favorite scene?”
I love the heroine, Maizey. She captures the spirit of so many of us women. She’s talented and capable, but doubts herself. She tackles challenges with a brave face, even though, inside, she’s riddled with fear. She wants to love and to trust, but past hurts stand in the way. Every woman can both admire her and relate to her.
What do you want readers to take away from this story?
That there are always second chances with God. No matter what you’ve been through, you can learn to love, trust, and be happy again. With God, anything is possible.
You can find Nothing Ventured on Amazon now!
This cover looks positively spooky. I love it 🙂
When Maizey Faye’s fiancé dumps her, leaving her with nothing but a lonely, little tree farm in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, she sees it as the fresh start she so desperately needs. So what if she knows next to nothing about tree farming. It can’t be that hard, right? Wrong! She’s in over her head, and if she doesn’t figure it out soon, she’ll lose everything.
Maizey never imagined her salvation would come in the form of her handsome business rival, Jax Lawson. She’s not sure if she can trust him or if he’s just another traitorous man to add to her growing list. But when she starts receiving mysterious messages and dangerous threats, she has no choice but to accept Jax’s help. With her life on the line, she’ll learn real soon whether Jax is sincere about his affections or if it’s all been a lie to get his hands on her farm.
